General QA / AQA Engineer
Description
Our client is a U.S.-based leader in the financial technology sector, delivering solutions that support digital payment processing at a global scale. The platform manages large volumes of transactions and provides integrated services, including point-of-sale functionality, API-based payment solutions, risk and fraud management, and analytics for business decision-making.
We are looking for a General QA Engineer/AQA Engineer to join the team. You’ll be contributing to the development and quality assurance of key web-based systems that enable merchant operations and payment workflows. This position requires a mix of manual and automated testing. The ratio between the two is dynamic and will adapt based on sprint goals and project requirements.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as a General QA Engineer/AQA Engineer with a strong focus on test automation;
- Solid knowledge of C# and proven experience in web UI test automation;
- Hands-on experience with Playwright and Selenium;
- Experience in manual and automated API testing using Postman;
- Good understanding of QA methodologies, test design techniques, and software development lifecycle;
- Upper-Intermediate level of English (written and spoken).
Nice to have (not required but will be a plus):
- Basic to intermediate experience with Python;
- Working knowledge of Cypress.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of both manual and automated testing with an initial 50/50 split, gradually moving toward a stronger automation focus;
- Develop and maintain automated UI tests using C# + Selenium/Playwright for web-based payment solutions;
- Perform manual functional, regression, and exploratory testing where needed;
- Execute and enhance API testing (manual and automated) using Postman;
- Collaborate closely with developers and U.S.-based stakeholders to define test requirements and ensure product quality;
- Contribute to the overall test automation strategy and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines;
- Actively participate in Agile processes, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
