Our company very often takes part in various conferences and events that are dedicated to the latest testing trends. The event was held in Austria Trend Hotel Savoyen, Vienna.

The Software Quality Days is one of the biggest congresses on software quality in Europe. The conference invites to Vienna for the sixth time already.

High quality tutorials and lectures with a mixture of practical and scientific topics made a go of the Software Quality Days.

The key subject was model driven approaches for advanced software engineering. Model driven approaches, already employed in various engineering fields, are proving to be a significant factor in the enhancement of product quality.

It collected the biggest issues and the most difficult challenges, where we could draw on the knowledge and experiences of the industry leaders, meet face-to-face with representatives from some of today’s most progressive and innovative organizations.

We took part in a new tool challenge. Exciting tasks, an excellent expert panel and an interested audience. The Microsoft has won The Best Quality Tool Award 2014. It was a pleasant experience for our team to take part in such event.

It had 3 practical tracks with presentations of application-oriented experiences and lectures - from users for users.

Why we went there?

This conference was a great opportunity for our team.  Our representatives have visit such a huge and important event in order to share our experience and to learn something new in the field of increasing development of software testing importance.

Many interesting and popular topics were discussed:

  • Requirements engineering and management
  • Testing (methods, automation, tools)
  • Project management and controlling
  • Architecture and design
  • Risk management
  • Coding (quality in the code)

We found very interesting the report “Business Intelligence in Software Quality Monitoring: Experiences and Lessons Learnt from an Industrial Case Study” by Bernhard Peischl and “What is model-based testing all about - the quest for simplicity” by Dragan Pažin.

It was truly magnificent and indeed divine event. We are happy to have such an chance to enhance our knowledge on the latest testing solutions.
