Manual and Automated QA for a Memorabilia Manufacturer

By the time we joined this project, the client had been working with a team of manual QA engineers for some time. This resulted in over 10,000 test cases, accumulated over several years, being stored in Google Spreadsheets. So this became our first big task on the project — to move the documentation to TestRail for more effective prioritization and maintenance. Other objectives included:

  • Validating all 10,000+ test cases to select the most relevant ones
  • Analyzing the existing user scenarios
  • Choose around 700 test cases for future automation
  • Take over smoke and regression testing from the manual QA team

Quality Assurance for a Talent Management & HR Company

We were approached by a client — a top European HR & talent development company — to perform quality assurance services on their web application. The company was constantly improving its product and rolling out new features, so it needed to make sure that every new feature was working as intended and that the overall performance of the product lived up to the requirements.

One of the biggest challenges of this project for our team was the lack of documentation regarding the product, which meant our QA engineers had to identify the specifics and problems of the product on their own. Our goal was to test both the functionality of the application and its user interface, especially with the addition of new features.

Quality Assurance for a Web Clinic Management System

The client was in the middle of developing an innovative web clinic management system. Since it was a very complex piece of software with a considerable number of roles (including patients) and rich functionality for efficient management and analytics, the client requested TestFort to provide them with an entire dedicated team of expert quality assurance engineers to help them avoid accumulating tech debt and make certain the project didn’t face any critical bugs or blockers.

Manual & Automated Testing for a Healthcare Document Management Platform

At the time of the request, the client had three development teams responsible for three different functional sections. The software development process was very intense, and the project didn’t have enough testing capacity to support such active development. To improve productivity on the project and expand their testing capabilities, the client requested our company to provide experienced QA engineers that would augment their team.

Compatibility Testing for a Game Anti-Piracy Technology

The gaming industry is one of the most rapidly growing ones with billions of dollars in revenue. However, it’s also losing profits due to piracy. That is a problem our client is determined to solve with their game protection and anti-piracy software solution. The client approached us with a simple request: to see how the product performs on different hardware platforms and OS versions.

Commercial Website for a Software Provider

A company that provides off-the-shelf business management software reached out to us in order to get their website tested. Since they were looking for a fast-functioning site that introduces potential leads to their product and intuitively guides visitors to request a demo, we had to test everything from the way the website looks to how it responds to unusual user behavior. Other than that, we were required to automate certain processes for future QA checks.

The key challenge we faced here was the inability to implement a code freeze strategy in the project course. We were forced to test the product during an ongoing development process, which means we had to be beyond attentive and careful with quality assurance. The development team working on the client side was adding new functions to the parts we already tested making us test it all over again. This made the testing process a bit more complicated than usual, but our team did not let it affect the end result anyway.

Quality Assurance Services for Cryptocurrency Exchange Platform

Our client, the owner of a Japan-based crypto trading platform, released a modernized version of his web application and wanted us to thoroughly test it. The aspects we were to check included UI/UX, blockchain platforms integration, security, and the app’s response to even the most unusual case scenarios.

The main challenge we faced during the project was the technical complexity of cryptocurrency trading platforms backend. Before getting to work, we had to examine not only the client’s product but the third-party solutions like Ethereum and Stellar integrated with it. Also, the client’s project had no documentation, so we created it from scratch both for the QA process and as a part of post-development maintenance.

Pre-hiring Talent Assessment Platform

TestFort had to provide the client with Quality Assurance and Development Operations services. Since the web application is based on certain assessment algorithms, we had to make sure each candidate’s knowledge is verified 100% accurately. We also had to establish a well-tuned development process in order to help the company’s in-house team to implement new functionality. Each update had to be thoroughly tested before the release. We had to make sure the end solution operates perfectly since it would make a big decision of whether candidates are applicable for their work positions or not.

Health Clinic Companion

The solution was developed so that doctors could easily track patient medical history, make recommendations and appointments to visit other doctors in the hospital, and give nurses all the information they need to work with patients. Patients and caregivers could then use their own interface to navigate to their appointments and see details of their prescriptions.

This meant that every function, UI element, and interaction on the website had to be intuitive, secure, and stable. As the companions would be used by everyone working at and visiting the hospital, it was important for the client to create a positive first impression, and give both patients and doctors the tools they need to be healthy and provide healthcare services.

The project was at the implementation stage, so our testing team had to work closely with the client’s in-house developers to help them get their project ready for its first release. We were tasked with testing the web-clinic interface as well as the client and doctor admin panel/portal.

Quality Assurance Services for an Antivirus Startup

A London-based cybersecurity startup approached TestFort with a request to help them optimize the antivirus solution they were building. Since the antivirus software was built using innovative encryption-based security technology, the company wanted us to make sure everything functioned as intended and the solution was free from any usability flaws or UI inconsistencies.
