Quality Assurance for a Financial Services Company

Our client for this project is a company providing banking and financial services in the Middle East. This is a well-known institution with over 50 years of history and over 140 physical branches in 8 countries. A few years ago, the company ventured into the digital realm by developing and releasing a banking application for its users.

The company decided to outsource the testing part of the project, and, after being referred to TestFort by our former client from the banking sector and seeing our portfolio of fintech projects, entrusted their QA needs to us.

By the time the client contacted us for the project, the application had already successfully operated in its home country for several years. However, this year, the company started planning to expand its presence to a new location in the region and decided to update and enhance the original application to better serve customers in the new market. Moreover, the updated application had to fit advanced security requirements, as well as usability and legal regulations, so there was a considerable chunk of work being done by the development team.

During the initial discussions, the client pointed out the most important aspects of the upcoming testing project. Specifically, they needed an application that had an appealing user interface, delivered spotles

Testing and App Development for A Sample Fulfillment Platform

The client already had a design for the future app, but the technical part of the project was entirely on us. We were tasked with creating a solution that:

  • Would work equally well on any desktop or mobile device;
  • Could handle large amounts of data because of the constantly increasing number of partners and available samples;
  • Would ensure a seamless ordering process using QR codes;
  • Could be easily scaled to match growing business needs;
  • Was strong enough to handle an unexpectedly high number of simultaneous users — for example, during exhibitions and other public events.

Testing and Web App Development For A Shower Door Solutions Provider

By the time we received the request from the client, there already was an existing solution with some functionality. However, it was created using outdated technologies, many of which are no longer supported by the developers. So, our team was tasked with developing a web app solution from scratch. The objectives of the project included:

  • Get rid of the old unproductive way of retrieving specifications from spreadsheets;
  • Speed up the dimensions and cost calculations;
  • Discontinue the use of deprecated technologies;
  • Ensure rapid and smooth scalability;
  • Correctly visualize different shower solutions and specifications despite not having physical access to them;
  • Provide customers with an engaging user experience;
  • Integrate the client’s existing CRM into the new solution.

Testing and QA for a Free Radio Streaming Service

Our customer is an American radio streaming service that delivers radio station feeds and podcasts to over 75 million monthly active users. With over 100k radio stations and 4m podcasts, this service is one of the largest in the world. The application is available as a web app, mobile app, desktop client, and in-vehicle infotainment devices.

Our team was tasked with providing testing and QA services to ensure that the application maintains its quality with a faster release cycle.

The main idea and the biggest challenge of the project was to expand the audience of the streaming service so that more people can get access to interesting and engaging content. Moreover, our team came on board when the product was already well-known in the market and highly regarded by the users, so we had to not only maintain the quality of the app at the level they’ve come to expect, but also further improve the user experience to strengthen customer loyalty.

QA for POS Hardware & Mobile Banking Application

When our client for this project, a European mobile banking service provider, was preparing to expand their business globally and venture into new markets, they approached our company with a request to test the quality of their hardware and software systems.

The main system in question was a mobile Point of Sale solution that allows businesses to perform transactions and access a range of other sales-related services with a convenient, all-in-one product. Our main task was to conduct a thorough check of the hardware terminal, as well as its connection to the mobile application and the performance of the application in different environments. The mobile POS system was intended to be used by millions of businesses across Europe, so our job was to make sure that the systems are robust and configuration reliable. Specifically, we had to check:

  • The correct operation of the hardware terminal
  • The stability of the connection between the terminal and the application
  • The performance of the whole solution under various conditions
  • The compatibility of the

Manual Testing of a Portable Smart Router

A hardware startup from California, United States requested our help with quality assurance & testing on their project. Our main task was to conduct comprehensive testing of the wireless smart router and related software, including mobile application, backend, and analytics system.

In addition, the client needed us to establish an efficient QA process on their project. At the time of the request, there were no QA engineers on the client’s in-house team, so everything was tested by the developers themselves. The client wasn’t happy with neither the time, nor the results of such testing.

Quality Assurance Services for Cryptocurrency Exchange Platform

Our client, the owner of a Japan-based crypto trading platform, released a modernized version of his web application and wanted us to thoroughly test it. The aspects we were to check included UI/UX, blockchain platforms integration, security, and the app’s response to even the most unusual case scenarios.

The main challenge we faced during the project was the technical complexity of cryptocurrency trading platforms backend. Before getting to work, we had to examine not only the client’s product but the third-party solutions like Ethereum and Stellar integrated with it. Also, the client’s project had no documentation, so we created it from scratch both for the QA process and as a part of post-development maintenance.

Global Online Natural Products Retailer

Our client for this project is one of the best-known eCommerce stores dealing with natural products and healthy living. It’s a US-based company that operates on a global scale with over 30k products in its inventory that are shipped to millions of customers in more than 185 countries.

The company was getting ready for the release of the new mobile app for iOS and Android, as well as the updated version of the website that would better match its growing presence in the industry and could serve its customers more comprehensively. The client reached out to us with a request to provide a dedicated team for quality assurance and retail application testing.

Since the app was planned for release on web, iOS, and Android platforms, our team had to make sure the new version provided flawless functionality and an aesthetically pleasing, enjoyable experience across all target platforms. We also had to verify the correct localization in all the available languages, as well as shipping and payment methods.

Therefore, one of the biggest challenges of this project was to provide eCommerce testing for every possible combination of platforms and localization settings, and ensure spotless performance in every possible situation.

Global Print on Demand Service

The client approached TestFort looking for a dedicated testing and QA team for their print-on-demand mobile application. The company was gearing up for rapid growth and a significant expansion of their product line, and it was important that the same, high level of product quality was maintained even during the faster release cycle.

The service is constantly rolling out new items to its print shop, allowing users to print on well over 1k different physical products with over 1 million different design and layout options. That means that we no longer have to regularly test the existing products and functionality, but also quickly react to the changes to maintain a steady release cycle.

Moreover, since the client’s service was available as an iOS and Android application, among other things, the team had to conduct testing across multiple platforms, operating system versions, and physical devices.

Software Testing for Message reader for drivers service

The main objective of the project was to test the application on a late-model OnePlus device. We needed to perform the exploratory testing on Samsung S9+ to be followed by tests across a series of devices in the future. According to our client’s requirements, the test had to be done in a bluetooth enabled vehicle and not simulated with a Bluetooth headset. The app needed to be tested in both English and Russian languages. One of the biggest challenges of the project was the necessity to create test documentation and to perform tests during one week.
